A Note from Harvey:
Dear Friends and Listeners,
Yes. I voted in the last election, and I pray that you also voted, and will continue to vote in the critical days ahead. Voter Apathy is our #1 enemy today, in New Mexico and these United States. Never before, have I seen so many Americans hanging their heads, being depressed, and generally feeling like their hopes and dreams have been dashed by uncaring politicians.

In the days to come, I pledge to help educate you and me on Voter Apathy. I pray that you
                       turn  out at the
voting polls in record numbers this year. Let your voices to be heard loud and clear. Step up to the plate and protect you, your family, your fellow man and your country, from those that do not have our best interests at heart. I hope that you refuse to sit on your hands and let our hopes and dreams pass helplessly by. I am praying for you, and I am praying for America.  HT

Popular  Magistrate Judge Loses Battle With Cancer - Community Mourns Loss
(KEDU Radio)
Ruidoso, NM. -
Longtime resident, attorney and Ruidoso Magistrate Judge, Michael S. Line, lost a long-time battle with cancer Thursday morning. According to sources, Judge Line passed just as over 1,300 Lincoln County Prayer Breakfast attendees were praying for him. LCPB Chairman R.B. Holmes had asked the crowd to offer prayers for Judge Line and his family. Holmes said "his journey's end is close at hand." You could hear the many emotions erupt in the crowd during a moment of silence. It was a powerful and fitting close to the morning as the annual prayer celebration came to an end.

Lat month, Line withdrew from running for office again, citing health reasons. Both he and his wife have experienced serious health concerns in the past several years. Line was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer.

Arrangements are being made and will be announced soon. Please keep the Line family in your prayers.

11-24-09                     Guest: Jerry Stewart, Host, "One Moment In America."
Author of " Saving America,"
"What We Must Do Now To Save Our Off Track Nation"

Our founding fathers knew that the survival of our great nation depended on a faith in Almighty God. This was true in 1776, and it is still true today.

But, now our nation and the Christian values that America was built upon are under attack. Its hard to believe, but there are some in America today that, if they had it their way, God would be nothing more than a vague memory left behind in the dusty trails of our history. And that is so sad.
Simply said, we are at a crucial crossroad in our nation. And whichever way we choose to go as a nation will soon, perhaps very soon, determine our fate. More

from the Red Feather
Theater Company at Ruidoso High School Drama Club.  Hear It
(Picture: Ellyn, William and Preston)  Show times: 7:00pm Friday & Saturday, Nov 20-21

See more on this production:
Discussion Items:

Ellyn - Stage management and directing responsibilities and will even read some of her notes that she has given to the cast at the end of rehearsals. Ellyn was also the student director of our first Red Feather production last year as well as played two leading roles.

William - The show from an acting point of view since he has one of the leading roles. He will discuss the two and half month long rehearsal process, memorization of lines ( there are gazillions ), and even say some of his. He may also comment on the fun side of rehearsals and what it is like to discover Shakespeare. William has played leading roles in last year’s plays as well as this year’s.

Preston - The formation of The Red Feather Theatre Company, what we did last year (4 one acts by Yeats, Moliere, Inks, Kashmar) goals of the company (one is to produce student written plays), our first play “Masks, Love and Pirates” written by Hannah Kashmar last year, Drama Festival/awards, the number of students in MSND, parent help, the program, Red Feather Angels (parents and community members who donate time, talent, and $$$$ …..we can always use more). Preston was the student director of our French farce last year (Moliere), and was an actor in two of the plays.

Of note to your listeners:

Young people could do worse than spend 9-12 hours a week rehearsing Shakespeare and liking it! Given all the negative events of the past two months, the over 60 students in this play have been making very different, radical, positive choices. They just need a task worthy of their enormous energy, creativity, and a venue!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Inks

Reynaldo Valcarcel & Steve Mark

Thought for Today:
"What is time? The shadow on the dial, the
striking of the clock, the running of the sand, day and night,
summer and winter, months, years, centuries -- these are but
arbitrary and outward signs, the measure of Time, not Time itself.
Time is the Life of the soul." -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,
American poet (1807-1882).

Our young men and women that returned from Vietnam did not get a Hero's welcome as those of every other war before them.  We should remember them like any other soldier who fights courageously for his country sacrificing life and limb for freedom.
Remember to support our troops with daily prayers.
