      Business group to operate Community Radio - KEDU

            Ruidoso, NM, march 7, 2006: The Christian Business Owners of Lincoln County (CBOLC), has negotiated an agreement to transfer the license and programming operations of Community Radio, KEDU-LPFM 102.3, from Fort Stanton, Inc. According to CBOLC founder Pat Welch, CBOLC will assume daily operational control immediately. "KEDU will continue to serve Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs 24/7 with news, local, syndicated and network programs and information. In addition, the station will add Christian music and area religious services to the programming line-up. KEDU will also begin reporting on positive stories and events that uplift our community." CBOLC plans to initiate programming operations Friday, March 10, 2006 at 12:01am, which include news and programming from the USA Radio Network. Negotiations are underway for an array of local programs, many of which were previously aired on KEDU.

    Specific details of the transfer are not being released at this time. Welch said a number of negotiations are still being conducted. He said CBOLC has been very pleased about the initial positive response in their plans to acquire the station and appreciates the sincere pledges of support by fellow business owners and residents.

    Additional information on programming, support, underwriting and announcements about general developments will be available on the KEDU Internet website, www.kedu.us , beginning on Wednesday, March 8, 2006.
