2.   Don Adams asked, "Is it true that New Mexico has a reserve fund? Why can't we use some of this reserve fund for the
      budget shortfall?

3.   Tony Davis of Alto, asked if/how the Legislature could find some additional money for Fort Stanton.

4.   Sally Moore asked if the state is still paying attorney fee's, from a lawsuit and subsequent closure in 1983, of
      the Fort Stanton medical facility. Have all of these cases been settled and could some of those monies be used
      toward the budget shortfall?

5.   Jim Gibson asked about state pension fund bailouts, and what ideas do you have on cutting costs to the state?
      Note: This discussion leads to speaking of state investment fund management, and job appointments.

6.   Pat White asks why the state still allowing political appointees to be hired, when there is a hiring freeze
      on for regular state positions that need to be filled. He states that there are many residents and
      agencies being "short-changed" by this practice. (There is also an in-depth discussion on appointees
      and excessive practices.

7.   An audience member asked how much money is set aside for "No Child Left Behind?" This questions
       begins a very colorful discussion about the funding, grants and testing in New Mexico.

8.   Colleen Widell (The NEST), Colleen compliments the legislators and they discuss grants and funding.

9.  Capitan Schools Superintendent, Shirley Crawford, stated that Capitan Schools believes in
      accountability. This is a colorful discussion on how Capitan is making due with the current budget
      problems, plus Sen. Adair voiced his frustration with the many "assistants and deputy assistants'
      in the Albuquerque public school system. This is a very candid conversation. A must hear
.

10.  Glynis Racine asked the legislators for some rock solid solutions to the budget problems.

11.  John Tate comments on the New Mexico film credit monies and discounts available to film makers.

12.  "Beth Miller comments on how citizens should look at themselves on how they can cut back as well.
        Suggests APS administrators should reduce their pay to match that of a teacher's salary. She also
        says that a 25% discount for film companies is too much. Many common sense

13.  Carol Williams asks if it is too late to "un-do" some of the damage that over-spending has done
        to state government. Can we vote out the liberalists and replace them with conservatives?
        Sen. Jennings states that he is against raising taxes. Many, many comments here. Frank discussion
        on spending without limits and accountability.

14.  Al Squire, Dairyman - Rancher. Could New Mexico institute some type of efficiency commission, or
        find a way to stop over-regulation, and over zealous lobbyists at the environment department.

15.   Darryl Robertson comments about the movie industry discounts and the group comments on the
         current New Mexico space program and huge project costs.

16.  Do any of you support the re-imposition of the NM "Food Tax?"

17.  How do you feel about the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack tax adjustment request or relocation?

18.  Sen. Adair comments on Mescalero supporting the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. Harvey asked how
        the legislators felt about "Real ID," and the threat of having to carry a US Passport to board
        US domestic flights.
